.NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the .NAME top-level extension is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to reserve john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level names remained running.

Through our firm, you can get your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain service provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no specific regulations on who can book a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the objective behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
